Original “Budget Racer” written about in articles from 1972-1975 in the Shelby Owners of America newsletter. The authenticity of ths car can be verified and the car is listed in the SAAC Registry. Have the SCCA log books from 1972. Restored to R model specs in 1994 and vintage raced with HSR and CVAR (current logbook with CVAR). Featured in Mustang Illustrated and Fabulous Mustangs magazines. The motor is a 302 A-4 block de-stroked to 296 CID with a Moldex billet cank, 1970 351 heads, 2.02/1.60 valves, T&D shaft rockers, Comp Cam flat tappet camshaft, MSD Ignition, ISKY Enduro Springs, Performer RPM Manifold, Holley 750 CFM Carb (improved by Paul Vanderley), and Canton Oil Pan. The transmission is a Ford Top Loader close ratio built by Mike Durhan. The center section is a 3:50 Detroit locker with 28 spline Curry Axles. All suspension was done by Gemini Racing (Larry Pond). Dyno results: 433 HP * 7500 and 327Ft# Torque *5900 RPM. Motor has 3 hours since rebuild in 2006.
